Break the cycle of UTIs and vaginal infections
with AZO® Dual Protection
Disruptions in the vaginal microbiota may underlie recurring infections
A healthy vaginal pH supports protective lactobacilli and helps guard against infection, but when that balance is disrupted, the risk of infection increases.1 Common disruptors like stress, menstruation, sex, and antibiotics can upset the microbiota, leaving women more vulnerable to vaginal or urinary infections and recurrence.2-5
While antibiotics can treat the infection, they aren’t designed to restore the protective microbiota.6 A combination of prebiotics and probiotics can help support balance and maintain feminine health.7

Break the cycle. Restore balance.
AZO® Dual Protection is formulated with a unique prebiotic to help guard the urinary tract and fight unfriendly bacteria, plus Intelliflora™ probiotic to help restore the balance of good bacteria and yeast to support vaginal health.*

Intelliflora™ blend significantly boosted lactobacilli counts in just 1 week10
Intelliflora™ Blend Results in a Healthy Count of Vaginal Lactobacilli Within 7 Days of Oral Supplementation

There was a significant increase in lactobacilli counts after 7 days of supplementation compared with the placebo group.
More than half of women taking the Intelliflora™ blend restored healthy pH levels8
Intelliflora™ Blend Restores a Healthy Vaginal pH

Women with an abnormal vaginal pH higher than 4.5 saw significant improvement after probiotic supplementation.
Intelliflora™ blend reduced Candida and Gardnerella colonization by up to 50%8
Intelliflora™ Blend Reduced Pathogenic Bacteria and Yeast Colonization

Women with an abnormal vaginal pH higher than 4.5 saw significant improvement after probiotic supplementation.
100% bacterial vaginosis (BV) clearance at 4 weeks with Intelliflora™ blend + antibiotics11
Intelliflora™ Blend Complements Antibiotic Use for Bacterial Vaginosis

At 4 weeks, 100% of women diagnosed with BV and treated with the Intelliflora™ blend plus antibiotics were BV-free compared with 65% in the placebo group.
Phage Prebiotic Blend
for
Urinary Health
Escherichia coli (E. coli), the bacteria responsible for over 90% of urinary tract infections, originate in the intestines and are transmitted via stool to the vaginal and periurethral area. Once in the urinary tract, they can colonize and cause infection.12 PreforPro® phage blend has been shown to selectively target E. coli and reduce populations of the undesirable bacteria.
Significant reduction in E. coli levels with phage prebiotic blend9
Reduction in E. coli Levels

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, PreforPro® phage blend significantly reduced E. coli levels in participants with baseline colonization (p = 0.02), while no significant change was observed with placebo (p = 0.78).

Probiotic proliferation with phage prebiotic blend
In a preclinical study, the PreforPro® phage blend reduced intestinal E. coli levels by 10- to 1,000-fold within 24 hours, while increasing probiotic populations by 10- to 100-fold.13 Within just 5 hours, the PreforPro® phage blend enhanced the growth of the Intelliflora™ probiotic blend by approximately 4-fold compared with Intelliflora™ probiotic blend alone.13,†‡
